First Night in Elizabethtown KOA

Theresa and I survived the first day drive through Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and finally Pennsylvania. Early on in the trip and we still were smiling…more to come on if that continues.

So not that you need to know, but I am going to start a ranking of the States according to their roads. So far Pennsylvania has the award for the worst roads.

So we also had many firsts on the this trip starting with getting gas in the truck with a 34 foot 5th wheel in tow. Other first was having someone pump are gas since we were in New Jersey. The guy really loved his job…

We finally arrived at the camp grounds at 7pm and we were all set-up by 9pm. It seemed like an uneventful night up until around mid-night. I am sound asleep and Theresa is shaking me out of a deep sleep for a blinking light from the bedroom thermostat. Anyone who knows Theresa any sign of light will keep her awake let alone a bright blinking blue light that is lighting up the entire bedroom. I am wondering at this point why I am being disturbed as the light is not bothering me. Now the fun begins with trying to solve the problem and what the heck does an E3 error code mean. Google provides several suggestions on what the code means and then the trial and error begins. I am turning off breakers with no luck and finally headed outside in the rain to reset the main power. Still blinking and at this point I am ready to yank the thermostat off the wall. Finally, turned off the battery and reset the main power and it worked no more error message and blinking light. So one thing we knew embarking on the RV journey that there will be issues and we have our first at midnight on day one. We are hoping for no more late night issues as we need our beauty sleep.
