Day 34 – Travel Day to Pinedale, Wyoming

We hit the road again on Day 34 after two amazing weeks in Fort Collins. The next stop on our adventure is Pinedale, Wyoming. You may ask why Pinedale, Wyoming? Two things. We need to break up the trip to Glacier National Park. It is also close to Jackson and the Grand Tetons National Park. The intro photo is the view from our RV at Yellowstone Trail RV Park. We will stay here for 4 days and 3 nights. We plan to visit Jackson and the Grand Tetons National Park.

Our travels across Wyoming were uneventful for the most part with only one mishap. We forgot to latch the handrail. I noticed in the mirror after our first 200 miles that the handrail had extended out. We added this to the breakdown checklist. We are becoming seasoned RV travelers but not getting comfortable. Theresa is keeping us focused with always using the checklist.

Road ratings update, Pennsylvania still holds the worst roads awards along with Memphis for the worst city roads. Wyoming roads were pretty good overall. Theresa is continuing her streak of great fuel stops with another one on this trip. She is becoming a master navigator!

We also had our first experience with a back-in RV site. We were nervous and thanks to help from the RV staff advice it went off without a hitch. Thank goodness the rest of our stops are all pull through sites.

We completed the evening with a burger from a local place called Dave’s Last Stand. Not bad as we were not in the mood to cook after set-up.

We look forward to a great few days exploring Jackson and the Grand Tetons. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
