Happy Sunday once again from beautiful Black Hills South Dakota. I am going to summarize our week in Glacier National Park area to get everyone caught up on our journey. We had the gem of our visit on day one with the tour of Glacier National Park. We kept the party going with a float trip on the Middle Fork of the Flat Head river. And I do mean party as it just happened to be my birthday as well. Theresa planned another great excursion as we enjoyed a peaceful 3 hours on the river. We always plan an excursion on the water as it provides a different view of the amazing wonders of nature. Our guide Alex kept us entertained as we enjoyed another perfect weather day. We wrapped up the day grilling up some burgers and cooking up some vegetables on the Blackstone. Amazing birthday with my beautiful bride! Thanks Theresa!
As you can imagine, we were pretty tired by Sunday. The first couple of days at Glacier National Park were jam-packed. We took it easy at the RV and cooked a late brunch on the Blackstone, yummy! Our campsite is very secluded and we took full advantage of it with a lazy Sunday.

We went exploring on Monday by visiting the surrounding towns. We headed to Whitefish to grab some lunch based on recommendations from our raft mates on Saturday. After lunch we drove around Flathead lake. We took in the scenic view. We enjoyed some more time in the truck. I mean enjoyed spending time with Theresa! We wrapped up the day back in Big Fork enjoying the quaint downtown area. Of course we did some shopping and we found some great things to buy. The highlight was the homemade ice cream which we enjoyed overlooking the lake. We finished up with grabbing burgers to take back to the RV for dinner. The local burger place is packed every time we drive by it so we had to try it. It did not disappoint, great burgers! Great day taking in what the area has to offer.

We wrapped our final full day on Tuesday by visiting the Hungry Horse Dam and Reservoir. We also explored more of Glacier National Park. The Hungry Horse Dam was very cool and the drive there was also incredible. You have realized by now that we are not hiking people. We enjoy viewing the sites by driving in the truck. Don’t get me wrong, we are always up for exploring areas on foot. We draw the line when it requires a survival kit, bear spray and a compass. We spent the rest of the afternoon driving the road from the West entrance of Glacier to the East entrance. We wrapped up with dinner in Columbia Falls at a great local Mexican restaurant.
We had an amazing time at Glacier National Park and we highly recommend visiting. We now start the journey heading back East.
